Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Overview
OCULAR-OS ("the Service", "we", "us") is operated by Ocular OS. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and administrator approval status.
- Content you provide: videos, transcripts, thumbnails, articles, metadata, tags, chapters, and other material you upload or generate through the Service.
- Integration data: access tokens and account identifiers for third-party services you choose to connect (for example YouTube or Canva).
- Usage data: log records, IP address, browser type, referring pages, timestamps, and diagnostic information used to operate and secure the Service.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and enforce administrator approval and access controls.
- Publish content to third-party platforms you have explicitly connected.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third parties including Google/YouTube, Canva, and our cloud infrastructure providers. When you connect these services, their own privacy policies apply to data handled on their platforms. We only request the scopes needed to perform the actions you initiate.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion by contacting the administrator of your workspace.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, encrypted OAuth token storage, and administrator approval gating for account access. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact the workspace administrator to exercise these rights.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
10. Contact
Questions about this Policy may be directed to the workspace administrator or to Ocular OS at the contact address published on the Service.
